Provides clinical supervision for Therapists, Social Workers and Unit Directors.

Oversees and evaluates the appropriateness of social services provided at the facility.

Conducts regularly scheduled meetings with Therapists, Social Worker and Unit Directors to keep staff informed; identify employee concerns, resolve conflicts and provide the opportunity for input from staff. Have a written agenda, minutes, and conclusions.

Provide consultation to Therapists, Social Worker on problematic/difficult cases.

Ensures quality and quantity of patient services is appropriate (i.e., that individual, group, and family therapy is provided as needed and required.)

Serves as a role model for quality patient care and supports and environment conductive to professional growth.

Participates in developing, interpreting, and implementing hospital and departmental philosophy, objectives, standards, policies & procedures.

Assess Quality Improvement Program for Clinical Programs in conducted.

Assists in interviewing prospective Therapists and Unit Directors.

In collaboration with the Risk Manager, may investigate unusual incidents and complaints from patients, personnel, and other departments and keeps the Clinical director and CEO informed.

Participates in staff development programs and orientation of new employees.

Participates in interdepartmental and intradepartmental activities directed at improving communication, coordination and quality patient care.

Delegate duties as appropriate.

Shares program management call with Unit Directors/Therapists/Social Worker and/or others as directed.

Plans, develops and coordinated the needs of the program with other disciplines, activities and programs; provides for staff support and assesses integration of efforts.

Evaluates the effectiveness of the total program, makes recommendations and changes as indicated.

Utilizes the DON and Nursing Supervisor as resources to address nursing issues and concerns.
-
Assures continuing staff effectiveness for assigned area of responsibility; provides for counseling and guidance to individual staff.

Provides on-going feedback to staff regarding their performance and formally evaluates staff on an annual basis per Human Resources.

Provides direct patient care of programming as a method of clinical support or instruction.

Has direct input into admission screening, discharge, and aftercare planning.

Provides for a wide-range of therapeutic modalities utilizing clinical resources available.

Responsible for the coordination and integration of the interdepartmental and intradepartmental services.

Responsible for the development and implementation of policies and procedures that guides and supports the provision of services.

Make recommendations as deemed appropriate in regard to utilization of behavioral interventions care and treatment of the patient.

Assist patients, therapists and physicians with evaluating potential of a resident to the RTC program.

Provide administrative services as requested.

Provide therapy and/or consult services as requested.

Responsible for recommending a sufficient number of qualified and competent persons to provide care/services.

Responsible for determination of the qualifications and competence of department personnel.

Responsible for the continuous assessment and improvement of the quality of care and services.

Responsible for the orientation and continuing education of all persons in the department.

Responsible for recommendations for space and other resources needed by the department.

Consistently demonstrates competence in day-to-day scheduling of duties by completing tasks on time with little assistance from others as required.

Observes hospital policy concerning smoking regulations, telephone usage and other related rules governing conduct at work.

Attends all mandatory employee in-services as scheduled.

Consistently exhibits a positive attitude when dealing with others in day-to-day situations.
