Job Description 

Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager

Qualified candidates must have at least 10 years of experience in a heavy manufacturing environment.

·      Develops and maintains EHS Roadmap and action plan

·      Establishes, implements, and enforces EHS policies and procedures

·      Plans and executes EHS audits

·      Maintains legal compliance with OSHA/TOSHA requirements and environmental agencies

       Organizes and conducts regular EHS trainings for employees and contractors

·      Key EHS Roadmap milestones met

·      Target score(s) achieved for EHS audit(s)

·      Regulatory forms accurately completed and all legal requirements met

·      IFRs (injury frequency rates)

·      Worker’s Comp claims (cost)

EHS strategy

·         Supervision of construction EHS activities during the construction phase of the project

·         This postion may require significant international travel initially for in-depth technical training

·         10% travel, including international

Ability to meet physical demands of the job, including but not limited to:  frequent sitting, standing, and walking; frequent computer use; frequent telephone use; some lifting or moving up to 25 lbs.

Job Requirements 

Bachelor degree, associate degree and/or equivalent work experience

·      Relevant and applicable certifications (First Aid, First Responder, etc.)

·      More than 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment in an EHS capacity

·      More than 3 years of experience in an EHS leadership position

·      Complete knowledge of federal and state EHS regulations

·      Intermediate to advanced knowledge of various software programs (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project, Access, etc…)

·      Able to work with business management to ensure “zero incidents" is a priority

·      Able to generate new EHS ideas for the overall EHS strategy

·      Able to ensure EHS activities are understood and delivered
