Distribution Manager

We are a world class consumer packaged goods company with more than $1 billion in annual sales, and an enormous fleet of vehicles and hundreds of distribution/warehouse centers.

Responsibilities:

Train and direct 5 Distribution Supervisors in their duties/responsibilities and direction of the three shift 50+ unionized employee workforce. 

This management position will be responsible for planning and executing the distribution of consumer packaged goods products to local satellite facilities and regional distribution hubs. 

Will take total responsibility for operating a very large (50+ employee) distribution/warehouse efficiently.

Must meet or exceed daily distribution requirements.

Ensure that shipments are dispatched 100% filled and on time.

Conduct performance reviews and be involved in resolving employee relations issues.

Investigate all miss-shipments and miss-directed shipments to determine the cause and implement corrective measures. 

Track and control manpower within budget while ensuring that distribution schedules are met. 

Will ensure good work attitudes, atmosphere, and communication to maximize productivity.

Must meet tremendous Safety measures, training, etc.
 

Requirement:

College degree.

Requirement:

5 or more years of experience managing a staff of more than 40 people in a distribution center/warehouse environment. If you do nto meet this requirement - Please DO NOT APPLY.

Requirement:

10 or more years experience in a distribution/warehouse environment that must load more than 20 trucks a day.

Requirement:

Must be totally computer proficient and an expert in using Transportation/Distribution software.

Requirement:

10 or more years experience in a distribution center that is loading and unloading consumer packaged goods.
