Description

We are an exciting national property management company seeking an energetic Maintenance Technician for our apartment community in Dallas, TX.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Completes all maintenance work orders with proper certification, including electrical, plumbing and air conditioning (HVAC).

  • Completes necessary maintenance on each apartment for move-ins.

  • Completes all work orders within 24 hours.

  • Maintains all equipment to ensure safety and equipment upkeep.

  • Maintains common areas for safety and appearance.

  • Ensures resident satisfaction when working in an apartment.

  • Maintains resident contact regarding maintenance problems in apartments.

  • Performs apartment turnovers to company standards.

  • When required, delivers or post notices to residents.

  • Adheres to specific safety guidelines set by OSHA and attends monthly safety meetings.

  • Monitors and complies with all Federal and Local Fair Housing regulations and ordinances.

  • When required, carries emergency pager and responds to all emergency calls in a timely manner and if necessary, in person.

  • Completes all other projects or requests as directed by Supervisor

Requirements

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Demonstrate excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and work effectively on multiple tasks in a fast-paced, demanding environment.

  • Be dependable/ reliable and follow through on commitments, producing timely work to required- or higher-standards, and pitching in to get the job completed.

  • Be attentive to detail and monitoring adherence to company standards.

  • Valid driver’s license.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • HVAC certification required.

  • 2 years experience in electrical, plumbing, painting and maintenance.

  • Great customer service and organizational aptitude.

  • Must be available for weekend, overtime and on-call hours.

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills a plus!

  • High school diploma required.
