The Supply Chain Planner works closely with Sales, Operations, and the customer to implement demand and supply plans that maximize sales and minimize production and logistics costs.  Primary responsibilities include network capacity planning, forecasting, managing working capital, and being the customer supply chain point of contact for top tier automotive customers. 

 

This position frequently interacts with Sales/Account Managers, Operations Director, Supply Chain Director, Plant Managers, Plant Schedulers, and the Customer (corporate planner, buyer).

 

 

The main objectives of the position are:

 

Network Demand, Supply, and Capacity Planning

1.       Simulate long range demand & supply plan to maximize sales and optimize production costs. 

2.       Plan logistics and interplant sourcing.

3.       Implement supply plans & production schedules to support new product development

 

Sales Forecasting

1.       Provide input to Sales & Plant sales unit forecast for the top tier automotive customers.

2.       Review and analyze customer forecast for accuracy, trending, and projections.

3.       Improve sales forecast accuracy 

 

Customer Supply Chain Point of Contact

1.       Interface with the customer regarding forecasting and planning – base business, promotional requirements, seasonality, new installations, etc.

2.       Serve as liaison between customer’s corporate planning group and Graham plants and corporate office.

 

 Working Capital Management

1.       Manage inventory (finished good and raw materials) to achieve GPC working capital targets.

2.       Coordinate raw material inventory across ABU plant network with a focus on management and coordination of label inventory.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years experience in planning, operations, finance, and/or customer service.
  • Knowledge of supply chain principles, theories, and concepts.
  • Experience in lean manufacturing, lean supply chain preferred.

  • BS/BA in business related field is strongly preferred.
