General Manager.

 

This position reports to a Board of Directors.

Position Summary:

Determine and formulate policies, and provide overall direction to the company within the guidelines set forth by the Board of Directors.  Plan, direct and coordinate operational activities at the highest level of management with the help of subordinate staff.

Requirements This position will develop and coordinate a specific and strategic plan for increasing sales and improving the profitability of an E-Commerce company.  This position will create processes and procedures to assure implementation of the plan. This position will report to the Board of Directors on the progress of the plan.

Administration and Management - Principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and leadership techniques.  Ability to make decisions, considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions.

Marketing of an E-Commerce business - Must have a thorough knowledge and understanding of marketing principles and strategies.  Specific knowledge of E-Commerce required, including but not limited to, evaluation of customer markets and market competition, website design and maintenance, domains and search engine placement, all with the goal of improving the placement of the company in response to internet searches.

Written and Oral Communication - Must have the ability to communicate effectively with the Board of Directors, employees, customers, and vendors.

Business, Economics and Accounting - Knowledge of principles and practices, the financial markets, and the analysis and reporting of financial data.  Must have the ability to plan, budget, and evaluate the performance of the company and its staff.

Must have an entrepreneurial spirit, and be able to work independently.  Must have excellent interpersonal skills.

Athough the company is located in New Prague, Minnesota, the successful candidate may reside anywhere, and may direct activities and communicate with the Board of Directors and the employees via e-mail and phone, with trips to company facilities or meetings as required.  Hours are flexible as long as goals are met and growth is achieved.  Compensation will be based upon skills, qualifications, abilities, and performance.
