Description Work closely with the marketing department to develop promotional materials in electronic format that are of high quality, engaging and interactive. Collaborate with numerous other ed2go departments including, but not limited to, technology, search engine marketing, sales and editorial. Ensure that our e-marketing materials are user friendly, compatible with a variety of interfaces, and search engine optimized.

Key Accountabilities:

Web sites

Create a new look and feel for any external facing web sites following the established branding schemes.

Determine when and where it would be best to incorporate multimedia elements into the sites to further enhance the users experience including flash animation, interactive elements and animations, etc. Translate complex information into easily-understood visuals.

Create any original design, multimedia elements, video and audio tracks, etc. to continually update and enhance the sites.

Ensure all links are working and connected as needed.


Determine the best CMS to easily and efficiently update all sites as needed. Work closely with the tech team to transition external sites into a CMS system.

Continually update and maintain all pages within all external sites.

Compare our corporate sites with our competition, identify competitors’ weaknesses, and recommend improvements to ed2go sites.



Landing Pages

Work closely with the SEM department to create customized landing pages that may be course, course grouping or other criteria focused.

Ensure that these landing pages are SEO optimized.

Build and maintain all pages and links.

Create a unique look and feel for each landing page while following the ed2go branding guidelines.



Technology Liaison

Work very closely with the technology team to ensure all web based activities are fully supported and integrated.

Collaborate with the tech team to convert the current ed2go.com and other sites platforms into CMS system.



Marketing

Contribute innovative ideas and encourage collaboration among marketing team members.

Considered to be an expert in all aspects of multimedia design and development and will be called upon to lend expertise to a variety of projects and initiatives.

Adhere to project development schedules.

Actively research new delivery methods, technologies, and models for expanding the ed2go brand.

Accept additional projects as designated, which may include illustrating other marketing materials, creating flyers, brochures, power point presentation and flash demos.


Meetings

Participate in weekly marketing committee meetings by reviewing all projects in advance and having any updates ready to be discussed at the meeting.

Requirements
Required:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
Excellent writing, communication and interpersonal skills.
HTML, Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Flash, and/or other image and page layout software. 
7+ years paid experience as a multimedia designer, graphic artist, new media designer, or multimedia developer.
Superior project management skills and problem solving skills with the ability to maintain high productivity amid competing priorities and tight deadlines.
Proficient in the use of e-mail, Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Internet Explorer, and Web research tools.
 
Preferred:
Additional knowledge of any of the following: ActionScript, JavaScript, PHP, MySQL, ASP .Net, Captivate/Camtasia, video and audio editing software, motion graphics, 3D applications.
Experience with e-learning development.
