Mental Health Clinical Interviewer or Psych Nurse needed for Pharmaceutical Services Organization in  Madison, Wisconsin, Culver City, CA and Hamilton, New Jersey

TO BE CONSIDERED, NO EXCEPTION, 2 YEARS POST GRADUATE SCHOOL ASSESSMENT WITH MENTAL PATIENTS USING THE FOLLOWING 3 RATING SCALES:

1. ham-d (hamilton depression)

2. scid (structured clinical interview for depression)

3. panss (positive and negative syndrom scale for Schizophrenia)

FAMILIARITY WITH THESE SCALES AS OPPOSED TO EXPERIENCE WITH THESE SCALES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED!!

The company’s mission, a pharmaceutical services organization, is to bring better and safer CNS drugs to market faster by delivering high quality assessments for clinical trials. Highly trained interviewers administer clinical assessments for research studies via videoconference and telephone.

Job Summary:

This position will evaluate a wide range of psychiatric patients using various diagnostic and symptom rating scales. Successful incumbent is part of an expert rating team, conducting assessments as part of a study protocol and at the request of a sponsor via videoconference or telephone. 

Responsibilities

• Evaluate a patient’s current clinical condition and symptom severity.
• Perform diagnostic evaluations.
• Submit accurate data utilizing Good Clinical Practices and identified scoring conventions.
• Manage subject crises with professionalism and clinical expertise.
• Utilize technology required to conduct remote assessments.
• Work with Project Associates in initiating assessments, and assist them with data query completion and data clarification.
• Follow Sponsor (protocol-specific) requirements and applicable internal SOPs.
• Participate in weekly rater meetings.

Education / Qualifications:

·          Raters must have a minimum of a master’s degree conferred by a clinically-focused program in a mental health discipline such as Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or Psychiatric Nursing.

·          Company will also consider Psychiatric Nurse (RN) candidates with four year RN degrees or BSN degrees

Experience / Skills: Must have 2 years assessment experience with HAM-D (HAMILTON DEPRESSION RATING SCALE) and SCID(structured clinical interview for depression, and  PANSS POST GRADUATE SCHOOL –no exceptions

·          Candidates must have 2 years of clinical experience with psychiatric patients.

·          2 years administering HAM-D and SCID and PANSS.  The specific assessment skills required will vary according to project needs.

·          Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

• .Knowledge of GCP guidelines.
• Strong communication skills, oral and written.
• Ability to work collaboratively within the company.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

1. Must be willing to work in either Hamilton New Jersey or Culver City, California. 
2. MUST have 2 years experience with SCID, HAMD and PANSS – no exceptions.
