Apartment Assistant Maintenance Technician

Maintenance Technician for B+ Class,   178 Unit Apartment Community in North Arlington (near DFW); $14-$14.75.00/hour based on experience

Possible rent reduction if living on-site

No medical but dental and vision care available

Qualifications:

Fluent in English and have own reliable transportation; Must pass Background Check which includes Drug Testing, Criminal Report and Credit Report

Work Experience:  Minimum of 3 years verifiable work experience as an apartment maintenance technician or combined with construction experience and maintenance experience

HVAC - Strong skills in maintaining, repairing and possibly installing individual HVAC systems; Must be HVAC Certified

Electrical - Changing circuit breakers, plugs and switches, repairing shorts, installing timers and photo cells, installing light fixtures and ceiling fans

Plumbing – Replace seats, leaky faucets, toilet bowls, sinks, garbage disposals, dishwashers and 40 gal. water heaters and heating elements

Carpentry – Re-hang doors, install door hardware, re-build door jambs, re-key doors; patch and replace sheetrock, repair rotted wood railings

Other duties include daily grounds clean-up, assisting with pool maintenance (pool certification a plus) when outside pool vendor is not available, outdoor light checks and bulb replacement; 

Additional Helpful Skills- Excellent resident and vendor relations, computers and some administrative duties; On-call every other weekend (after hour calls are very limited)
