Job Description 

Summary of Responsibilities:
Responsible for supporting guests diagnosed with mental health or co-occurring substance use disorders in recovery. Assist with individual presenting needs of guest. Maintain a safe and clean treatment environment.
 


Job Requirements 

Position Requirements - Essential
1. Physical ability to do lifting (50 - 75 pounds), including lifting and assisting non-ambulatory guests and other labor required.
2. Demonstrated ability to communicate in both written and verbal formats to meet position responsibilities.
3. Ability to perform non-physical and physical interventions with clients in accordance with CMH guidelines and Behavioral Management plans in order to protect the client, other clients and self. This requires the physical ability to appropriately restrain a client with or without assistance from co-workers.
4. Demonstrated ability or potential to work with individuals having special physical, emotional, social, and vocational needs.
5. Current Michigan driver's license with acceptable driving record according to Hope Network Integrated Recovery Services insurance carrier definitions.
6. Ability to articulate and actively support the mission of the corporation to various audiences.
7. Bachelor's degree in related field, degree candidate, and/or relevant experience preferred.
8. Ability to obtain Peer Support Certification in the state of Michigan within 1 year of hire preferred.
