Description Our Direct Client is looking for the following on a contract to hire basis.

Reporting to Director, Technical Services, the IT Systems & Network Operations Team Lead will be responsible for all aspects of IT systems operations and service delivery: voice and data, distributed systems, and datacenters. 

Must possess at least 10 years of demonstrated technical leadership capabilities in an IT environment. He/she will plan, coordinate, direct, and design all operational activities across all partner vendors. 

Identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support efficient and effective IT solutions. Extensive project management experience is a must, with the ability to plan and manage infrastructure projects in a highly robust environment.

The ideal candidate will be a technically competent, hands-on self starter with strong communication skills. He/she must work with multiple project teams simultaneously and thrive in a high performance, and very fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Objectives: Ensure compliance with IT security, privacy, and regulatory requirements, leveraging best practices, policies, and procedures.

Manage, prioritize, and support IT operations initiatives and goals in a highly robust environment. Ensure highly reliable and available infrastructure to support the business.

Evaluate current IT Infrastructure and identify technologies to improve security, scalability, efficiency and reliability of the overall environment. Provide technical leadership, recommend, design, and implement global technology infrastructure projects in WAN/LAN, IP telephony, networking, Windows, messaging, help desk, and related areas.

Benchmark and assess IT industry competitiveness, also review and evaluate emerging technologies for practical application.

Build and develop a high performance team and environment and mentor and develop others. Manage vendor relations ensuring selected vendors are providing optimal service at reasonable cost.

Catalyze ongoing positive advancement in IT capabilities and stability by developing and monitoring metrics to measure performance and availability, and design and implement necessary improvements.

Lead disaster recovery planning, training, and documentation for IT Network, Systems and Help Desk Services.

Utilize professional project management methodologies to ensure projects are delivered on schedule and budget.
Requirements Skills/Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field.
• 10 yrs in IT with 2 years in healthcare industry
• Leads the network technical staff and assures that the duties, responsibilities and authority of each subordinate are clearly defined and effectively communicated.
• Provides leadership, coaching and counseling in both technical and non-technical areas to network team.
• Works effectively with stakeholders at all levels in technical and non-technical contexts to build and maintain effective working relationships.
• Manages the operation of enterprise voice and data networks, including performance, availability, recoverability, root cause determination and problem resolution.
• Ensures network operations follow ITIL practices and established processes.
• Defines, improves, reviews and manages network operations processes and metrics.
• Serves as management gatekeeper for network configuration management and network change management including all network devices and servers configurations and deployment.
• Identifies strategic and operating opportunities to reduce network costs, attain or reduce budget levels, increase service levels, network reliability and network operating efficiency.
• Experience in a heavily distributed Windows environment as well as vendor management expertise required.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively manage projects and deliver on commitments.
• Experience in managing infrastructure budgets.
• Results driven.
• Ability to propose, promote, collaborate, and execute strategic IT initiatives.
• Ability to multi-task between enterprise initiatives and routine IT operations.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills.Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle numerous projects simultaneously; with a great attention to detail, and a sense of urgency without compromising quality.

Technical Competencies:
• Software o Microsoft: Windows 2008, Exchange 2007+, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, System Center Enterprise Suite, Hyper-V, and Forefront Client Security. o Other: HP Insight Manager, HP StorageWorks Suite
• Hardware o HP BladeSystem, DL380, EVA 4400, R12000/3 UPS, Brocade FC switches, and Cisco networking equipment.
• Regulations/Methodologies o HIPAA, ISO 27001/27002, Microsoft Infrastructure Optimization Model, ITIL v3, Service-Oriented Architecture and the Microsoft Operations Framework. Certification:
• Current Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP), Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS), and/or Microsoft Certified Master certifications desired. • Security, SAN and networking certifications will be beneficial.
