Reporting to Director, Technical Services, the IT Systems & Network Operations Team Lead will be responsible for all aspects of IT systems operations and service delivery: voice and data, distributed systems, and datacenters.
Must possess at least 10 years of demonstrated technical leadership capabilities in an IT environment. He/she will plan, coordinate, direct, and design all operational activities across all partner vendors.
Identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support efficient and effective IT solutions. Extensive project management experience is a must, with the ability to plan and manage infrastructure projects in a highly robust environment.
The ideal candidate will be a technically competent, hands-on self starter with strong communication skills. He/she must work with multiple project teams simultaneously and thrive in a high performance, and very fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Objectives: Ensure compliance with IT security, privacy, and regulatory requirements, leveraging best practices, policies, and procedures.
Manage, prioritize, and support IT operations initiatives and goals in a highly robust environment. Ensure highly reliable and available infrastructure to support the business.
Evaluate current IT Infrastructure and identify technologies to improve security, scalability, efficiency and reliability of the overall environment. Provide technical leadership, recommend, design, and implement global technology infrastructure projects in WAN/LAN, IP telephony, networking, Windows, messaging, help desk, and related areas.
Benchmark and assess IT industry competitiveness, also review and evaluate emerging technologies for practical application.
Build and develop a high performance team and environment and mentor and develop others. Manage vendor relations ensuring selected vendors are providing optimal service at reasonable cost.
Catalyze ongoing positive advancement in IT capabilities and stability by developing and monitoring metrics to measure performance and availability, and design and implement necessary improvements.
Lead disaster recovery planning, training, and documentation for IT Network, Systems and Help Desk Services.
Utilize professional project management methodologies to ensure projects are delivered on schedule and budget.
