Job Description

Job Summary

The Sr. Material Planner will provide planning for Purchase/Resale components and complex Intercompany purchases.  They will need to utilize strong analytical skills to determine proper demand, inventory stocking levels, and planning procedures.  They will be required to provide training to other planners and staff on QAD planning tools.  They need to have strong interpersonal skills and be able to work well within cross functional teams including Purchasing, Engineering, and Quality.

 

Job Description:

  • Perform complex Intercompany planning
  • Perform Purchase/Resale planning
  • Analyze and audit current supplier pull processes
  • Analyzes actual product demand, trends and forecasts, and adjusts inventory plans accordingly.
  • Provide training on QAD planning tools
  • Minimizes premium freight.
  • Minimizes inventory dollars.



Job Requirements

  • Minimum 5-8 Years experience in material planning is required
  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or equivalent work experience is required
  • Strong understanding of how PC&L interrelates with other functions in the organization
  • QAD experience preferred
  • Must have the ability to apply a strong understanding of the interrelationship between PC&L and other functions in the organization to assignments.
  • Committed to delivering quality product—monitors process to ensure quality
  • Product/program management skills
  • Possess excellent problem solving skills
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, mainframe MRP systems
  • Bachelors degree in business administration, engineering, or materials management is required
