Description Work closely with the AVP of Actuarial Services through all phases of quarterly reserve reviews, drawing upon experience to provide ideas to help improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the reserving unit's processes and work products. Assist with the preparation of exhibits and narratives for various committee and external reports. Comply with and recommend enhancements to reserving process controls, coach and coordinate the work efforts of other team members; lead special projects or other duties as needed.
Requirements

Ability to use analytical methods in complex actuarial functions to find workable solutions; an effective understanding of the functions performed within an insurance organization and a demonstrated ability to effectively coordinate and contribute to cross-function processes and projects; ability to communicate findings and recommendations to internal and external contacts on actuarial services matters; ability to use sound actuarial analysis to generate innovative solutions and support intelligent business judgments; abililty to use software to summarize and analyze large amounts of data; ability to apply a strategic perspective to the functions performed by the reserving unit; ability to remain highly organized and drive results; ability to manage and develop subordinates to ensure increased performance.



Experience Required:

Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree and Asscociateship in the Casualty Actuary Society, Fellowship preferred. Five years of experience in commercial lines property and casualty actuarial work including three years of reserving responsibilities preferred.
