Position Overview
The Business Development Specialist is responsible for the execution of FirstComp’s sales strategy within all sales regions. The Business Development Specialist will be based in the Omaha office, with frequent travel throughout the United States. The Business Development Specialist will learn the FirstComp sales strategy in preparation for relocation into an Outside Sales Manager position in one of FirstComp's 31 states. Job duties will include the following:
- Build strong relationships with new and existing agencies.
- Visit insurance agencies on a regular basis.
- Prospect and qualify leads.
- Set appointments with agents.
- Deliver sales presentations.
- Train agents to use FirstComp’s software.
- Conduct book reviews.
- Evaluate the performance of agencies.
- Represent FirstComp Insurance at conventions and other industry related events.
