Job Description 

EHR is currently in search of qualified internists, family practitioners or emergency medicine physicians in the Philadelphia area to join its rapidly growing team as a part-time Physician Advisor who will work during nights and weekends in a remote capacity.

 

The part-time Physician Advisor will serve as a clinical resource to EHR’s hospital clients on weekends by providing expert, second-level reviews for medical necessity admission status certification. These services are performed electronically and telephonically with hospital clients to address the following issues: medical necessity review, clinical and regulatory compliance, continued stay review, hospital reimbursement, and quality assurance. The Physician Advisor will also serves as an expert in regulatory guidelines and utilization management and will help to educate case management and medical staff members on these topics regularly.

 

EHR offers extensive training (no prior medical management experience required) and  competitive compensation.

Job Requirements 

Requirements: 
  • Strong clinical knowledge base
  • Self-motivated and ability to work independently
  • Strong computer skills
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving and negotiation skills
  • Organized with strong attention to detail
  • Team player attitude
  • MD or DO with 3+ years of post-residency inpatient clinical experience
  • Medical licensure mandatory
  • Board Certification, preferred
