Description Adams & Knight, a rapidly growing specialist in health care and financial services marketing, is looking for a strategic Account Director to help lead its health care marketing communications practice.

Responsibilities:
As an Account Director, you’ll be responsible for:

  • acting as the agency’s primary relationship manager for the clients you serve
  • serving as a strategic marketing consultant for your clients
  • developing sound marketing communication strategies
  • working collaboratively with other agency specialists to refine and execute those strategies, drawing upon the agency’s strengths in advertising, media, social media, interactive marketing, direct marketing and public relations
  • writing and presenting sound communication plans/proposals
  • working closely with the creative team responsible for translating your audience insights into compelling creative
  • setting up appropriate metrics for each initiative and recommending strategic and creative refinements to maximize results

Requirements
  • ESSENTIAL: Demonstrated expertise in health care marketing, particularly in the areas of hospitals and health care systems as well as senior living/health care service
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant marketing communications experience, preferably some with a marketing communications agency
  • Ability to write and present strategic marketing communication plans
  • Experience integrating the full range of marketing tactics, such as advertising, direct marketing, interactive marketing, direct marketing, social media, and public relations
  • Strong leadership skills, including the ability to direct and motivate a matrix-managed team of project leaders and account support team members
  • Ability to evaluate both copy and design, make recommendations on how to enhance those solutions without overdirecting, and the ability to “sell” that creative
  • Exceptional presentation skills
  • Ability to establish and manage budgets
  • Bachelors’ degree a minimum, a master’s degree in business, marketing or communications a plus
