Custom publishing is a form of marketing that involves an editorial product. Sunshine Media’s custom, business-to-business magazines serve attractive vertical markets and deliver relevant and engaging content to more than 250,000 professionals around the country each month.
We are looking for sales professionals and entrepreneurs to serve as local market Publishers for our magazine brands. This is a 100% commission, Independent Contractor opportunity with tremendous earning potential and no franchise, distributor, or license fees and no products to buy.
Sunshine Media provides a proven, turnkey process for launching your local market magazine edition and we provide market exclusivity and all collateral materials you will need to start successfully publishing.
Job responsibilities
This is a commission sales position. You will serve as the local market representative and Publisher for our title brand, and the primary focus of your efforts will be grounded in selling advertising and sponsored content in each monthly issue. Other key responsibilities include coordinating and managing photo shoots, networking and promoting the brand, and attending trade shows and events.
Sunshine Media’s Role
While your focus is sales and growing the magazine, Sunshine Media will manage all production aspects of the magazine, including editorial development, layout and design, printing, and mail fulfillment. Additionally, we manage all billing and collections and provide ongoing support from our headquarters in Chattanooga, Tennessee. We provide a comprehensive orientation program upon contracting with new Independent Contractor Publishers.
Expectations
This is an opportunity for true entrepreneurs and sales professionals with publishing and media experience. It is not an entry-level position or multi-level marketing opportunity.
Commission compensation ranges from 25% to 40%, depending on performance. Average earning for Publishers after one full year of publishing is typically $60,000 to $80,000 annually, and our top producers earn more than $200,000 annually.
