We have a great client in the Financial Services Industry that is seeking a qualified Technology Systems / Research Engineer for a 6 month contract-to-hire opportunity. They are seeking a candidate with a wide array of experience in different technical disciplines.
The engineer will be responsible for researching, testing, and evaluating all new and existing hardware and software. In addition to technically evaluating new systems, the engineer will put together proposals for investing in any technologies. Will work with different business units and vendors to create efficiencies and appropriately invest in technology.
Candidates MUST have 5+ years experience in:
* Evaluating software & hardware
* Researching new enterprise level technologies
* Creating proposals
* Determining ROI's for new technologies
* Working with vendors and different business units (ie. Accounting, HR, etc)
* Prioritizing and re-prioritizing tasks in an IT Department
Candidates should have experience in a variety of technologies and have a strong desire to keep up with the newest technologies.
Such technologies include: MS Sharepoint, MS Exchange, Server Monitoring Software,VOIP, VMWare, Windows Server 2008, Antivirus / Antispam Software, ADP Biometrics Devices, SAN, BES Server, Alarm Systems and Security.
