Job Description 


Applications (Business) Analyst (Information Technology)

 

 

SUMMARY

 

The Applications Analyst is responsible for configurations management of the company’s Enterprise Resource Planning software, Oracle’s EnterpriseOne.  The Applications Analyst will participate in design, evaluation, implementation, and management of multiple projects, within assigned functional area(s). This position provides technical direction, planning, design, integration and testing of systems and/or processes. Primary responsibilities include: EnterpriseOne system management, facilitation between business units and the IT department, and requirements analysis and functional design.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Maintain the quality and integrity of EnterpriseOne modules and data as designated by IT management.
    • Manage the configuration of designated modules.  Initial responsibilities will focus on Sales Order Processing, but may change or expand.
    • Evaluate and define test conditions, develop accurate and complete test plans, and conduct testing of enhancements, fixes, interfaces or any other changes related to EnterpriseOne.
    • Investigate and resolve data and systems issues.

 

  • Collaborate with developers, infrastructure support, and business unit teams to provide support for business process and information systems analysis, design, development, testing and deployment.
    • Document business requirements and functional designs for system modifications.  Technical design documentation may be required.
  • Develop training documentation and provide internal and external systems training as directed by IT management.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of applications management policies and procedures.
  • Manage and/or participate in business process modeling sessions, acting as a co-facilitator, facilitator, or subject matter expert.
    • Document processes and business requirements.
    • Investigate and design technical solutions to meet business requirements and standards.

 





 

Job Requirements 

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

 

The successful candidate should have a Bachelors Degree in a related field and five years of directly related experience and/or training in process management, process improvement, quality management, technical writing, and/or training. Requires at least two years of experience in implementation, maintenance, or testing of Oracle’s (JD Edwards) EnterpriseOne v8.12.  One year of Sales Order Processing experience is strongly preferred.

Reasoning Ability:

The successful candidate should be able to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents and to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.  Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business requirements, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and employees.
