POSITION SUMMARY :
This position is responsible for decision support and reporting activities for key organization initiatives as well as an assigned functional area. Collection of key data elements and the development and maintenance of reports and databases. Assistance with complex and special projects is also required. Financial Analyst II is accountable for developing the understanding and applying of how data and analytics can benefit the performance of their assigned functional area and the organization. Responsible for some General Accounting and budget functions.
FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND STANDARDS
- Assumes proactive role for providing decision support for business sectors; such as but not limited to - Membership - Provider Services - Medical Affairs - MMG - Quality Assurance - Finance Includes but is not limited to the development, maintenance and standardization of reports/analysis, meeting with functional areas to ensure reporting needs and provide ad-hoc reports as needed.
- Responsible for using and maintaining knowledge base of 3 or more data warehouses for reporting; such as but not limited to: - QNXT (front and back end) - MedInsight - Proclarity - Care Advance - Med3000 - Precidiem - PDR Database - RxAmerica

- Participating in departmental cross-training and development of policies and procedures regarding data analytics reporting such as but not limited to training others, open source scripting and archiving published reports.
- Prepares month end journal entries. Reconciles Cap, Enrollment, and Claims reports. Assists in the completion of the Annual Budget. Distributes Month end Reports to departments Responsible for adherence to organizational policies and procedures; complies with required workplace safety standards.

Job Requirements
EDUCATION (Type and Length) Required: BS degree in a related field. Preferred: Business, computer science, or health care data analysis preferred E
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED(Type and Length) Minimum 5-7 years increasingly complex responsibilities in compiling data, creating reports and presenting information and analysis. Minimum 3-5 year Health Care industry background. Experience combining clinical and financial data, statistical analysis and database systems
SPECIAL SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE Proficient knowledge of SQL. Proficiency with PC based systems, including knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Access. Strong problem solving skills, analytical ability and interpersonal skills are important to perform successfully in this position. Must be able to function independently and manage multiple projects and deadlines. Must be flexible in working with changing priorities and requests.
