Sales Assistant



This position is responsible for maximizing sales by converting referred customers to rent-to-own agreements. The process is to be accomplished in a way that is consistent with Rent-A-Center’s core values

Duties/Responsibilities

Sales:
  • Close sales cycle by converting referred customers to rent-to-own agreements
  • Educate customers on the rental contract and delivery expectations
  • Complete appropriate paperwork to ensure customer receives merchandise and partnership store receives payment


Customer Service:
  • Perform premier customer service in respect to all customers both internal and external to the partnership store


Relationships:
  • Work as a cooperative member of the partnership store team and the Rent-A-Center Rent-to-Own team in all operational aspects
  • Network with partnership store personnel to gain referrals and educate partnership store staff on the rental process
  • Any other duties assigned by the sales manager

 



Sales Assistant



Qualifications

  • Prior customer service experience required
  • Prior sales experience required; retail furniture sales experience a plus
  • Prior supervisory experience or other related experience
  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED
  • Friendly with exceptional communication skills
  • Organizational and time management skills, ability to multi-task
  • Proficient with simple math calculations
  • Computer literate and proficient with windows operating system
