This position provides technical support relating to Ennis Paint products, services, and processes on behalf of our customers (contractors; state, county and municipal governmental agencies), the sales and marketing department; and our manufacturing Department.
Responsibilities:
* Investigate customer complaints by acting as liason between sales, manufacturing, and customers field agents; and collecting field data on customer complaints for laboratory evaluation; perform laboratory evaluations if necessary.
* Provides field support for customers working with performance based striping systems or who might be haivng problems with performance that are not material related.
* Assist in the collection of performance data for Ennis pavement marking products in the field for use in product qualification, sales and marketing support, and to provide an overall understanding of the performance capabilities ofour products.
* Work with customers and governmental agencies for the installation, testing, and/or reporting on the performance of materials placed on various state, federal, and international test decks.
* Provide support at various association meetings that may include providing reports, presentations, or recording observations.
* Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Polymer Science, or Engineering (preferably chemical or mechanical.)
*3-5 years of field work in the pavement markings industry plus 3-5 years of experience in pavement marking manufacturing or product development. (R&D)
* Must be able to :
* Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
* Make presentations to a large group of people.
* Interact professionally with clients, customers, and governmental agencies.
* Resolve customer problems through personal contact.
* Provide effective technical training to customers and sales personnel.
* Must be proficient in the use of a computer and computer software.
* Analyze complex data and communicate findings/conclusions.
* Prioritize assignments and work concurrently on multiple tasks.
* Research problems, recommend and communicate solutions.
* Trouble shoot problems of a technical nature
* Multi-task in order to provide support and maintain reporting with travel.
