General Manager

The Panera Bread General Manager's role is to oversee day to day operations and provide leadership.  Our General Managers create a successful working team environment through effective coaching and training, take financial ownership for growing the business through increased sales and controlling costs and manage daily café operations by making key decisions, demonstrating good judgment and being effective role models.

Assistant Manager

The Panera Bread Assistant Manager’s role is to assist the General Manager in managing the day to day operations of the Panera Bread bakery-café including assisting in the efforts to create and maintain the Panera culture and values and assisting with the management of the financial and operations aspects of each bakery-café.
 

In addition Panera offers full and part time shift supervisor positions.

Ability to plan work and motivate and influence others. Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills. Reasonable knowledge of how to manage food costs, labor costs, grow sales, and impact controllable profit and flow-through.  Knowledge of and experience in employee selection, discipline, training and development.

Experience Required:

General Manager: 3-5 years salaried food service management experience and ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Assistant Manager: 2-3 years salaried food service management experience.

Shift Supervisor: minimum of 6 months shift supervisory experience in food service.
