Responsibilities include planning and daily responsibilities assignment for about 8 staff.  This person will oversee both a Test Lab and an Assembly area.  Will review processes and report results.  Monitor staff.  Work with Engineering Dept regarding department activities.  Make sure staff follows safety guidelines.  Create and control daily schedules to assure customer expectations are met.  Monitor attendance and provide counseling when necessary.  Research and recommend test procedures improvements, assembly method improvements, test equipment upgrades.   Look for cost reductions in tooling and processes to ensure the dept costs are in line with corporate expectations.  

H.S. Diploma required but an associates in Manufacturing Technologies or Mechanical Engineering is preferred.  

Minimum of 2 yrs experience in mechanical assembly of LARGE product.
Must know micrometers, verniers, height gages, thread gages, surface plate work, pressure transducer, torque transducer and torque wrenches.  Must also know how to read blue prints. 
Sofware: Lab View, MS Access, MS Word, MS Excel.

Some travel required.   Daily and Weekend overtime required as needed. 

Must pass drug screen and criminal background check.
