Position Purpose

 


 

As a company representative, the Appointment Setter is responsible for contacting leads and verifying information.  The Appointment Setter initiates calls, inputs data into a tracking system, verifies the prospect meets criteria by asking scripted questions, and schedules the first appointment with the Sales Representatives.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Contribute to departmental and Company goals as communicated by the Appointment Setter Manager.
  • Schedule appointments with appropriate Investment Associate, Insurance Agent, or Debt Consultant.
  • Assist to develop new customers through appropriate propositions, ethical sales methods and relevant internal liaison, to optimize quality of service, business growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Attend training and develop relevant knowledge and skills.
  • Accomplishes all tasks as appropriately assigned or requested.
Requirements Experience, Competencies and Education


  • Must have at least 2 years in a call center environment. Experience with outbound calls highly preferred.
  • High level of interpersonal skills to interact with the public in a courteous and professional manner. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with staff inside and outside of the department.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands.
  •   Basic understanding and proficiency using the following software:

    o    Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • High School Diploma Required
