The Email Marketing Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of innovative programs that increase the lifetime value of each customer across all Backcountry customer segments, with a primary focus on email marketing.
The ideal candidate is an experienced leader with the passion for creative email marketing strategy. This role is perfect for the person who will thrive on continuously testing and improving Backcountry's relationship with its customers.
Primary Responsibilities:
Develop, test and implement new email marketing programs that increase sales and maximize customer lifetime profitability
Partner with Customer Acquisition, Product Management, and Customer Solutions to develop programs to profitably transition customers from new customer (early lifecycle) to loyal customers (repeat customer)
Set and achieve retention and customer lifetime profitability goals for the existing customer base
Improve customer advocacy by increasing the importance of customer-driven content (gear reviews, Q&A, photos)
Responsible for creative brief process for cross-channel marketing strategy
Lead campaign and program analysis, working directly with strategic analysis and SQL analysts, to understand and measure business opportunities, evaluate campaign results and communicate across the organization.
