                            Set Up Operator - Machine - Manufacturing  - Van’s International Foods



Van’s International Foods, a leading producer of high-quality wholesome breakfast foods, seeks experienced Set Up Operators.  The Set Up Operator is responsible for running the packaging equipment and wrapping machines required to package our products with consistent quality while following the procedures established by the company without deviation.  


The desired candidate will have a minimum of 1 year experience working in a food manufacturing acility, be familiar with GMP’s and be able to work any shift including weekends and holidays. 


Successful candidates will take a pro-active approach to maintaining an efficient production line and should be willing to accept responsibility and accountability for the work done on his/her shift and report issues to the supervisor and/or production manager. 

 
Essential Duties & Responsibilities: 

• Follow safety, GMP’s and work instructions

• Advise Oven Operator Lead, Production Supervisor/Lead or Q.A. inspector of any quality or other problems, which may effect the production, efficiency or consistency in product or performance.

• Responsible for the cleanliness of the area. Housekeeping must be performed regularly during the shift.

• Must understand the company’s food allergen program.

• May be assign to monitor target weight required and record

• Monitor packaging so that the appropriate product is packaged in the appropriate package

• Ability to perform set up and minor troubleshooting of line packaging equipment.

• Must be a High School Graduate or have a General Education Degree (GED)

• Must be able to read, write and speak Basic English. 

• Must have a minimum of 1 year experience working in a food manufacturing facility. 

• Bi-lingual English / Spanish a plus.
