About This Opportunity
In this position, you will be play a critical role providing leadership and establishing process checks to ensure that processes are followed promptly, accurately and efficiently within performance standards of clients. In addition, you will interface with clients

Responsibilities
1. Handle day-to-day workflow, training and quality review for the underwriting team while managing departmental financial results.
2. Develop subordinates to assure continuity of qualified performance at all levels.
3. Cultivate new and on-going procedures and policies for new and existing clients.
4. Collaborate with other departments within LTCG in overall effort to secure new business and retain existing business, this may include revising existing policies and procedures.
5. Work closely with clients regarding metrics, field communication, turn-around times and new product implementations.
6. Provide input toward system re-design for improved efficiency and quality.
7. Monitor budgets, research and resolve discrepancies and report all variances on a monthly basis.
8. Update the master schedules each quarter with proposed actions to correct any imbalances.
Requirements
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience required
· Current, valid, and unrestricted RN license in the state of Minnesota preferred
· 2+ years management experience in a health-related industry
· 2+ years underwriting experience preferably in a long-term care or health insurance industry
· Working knowledge of medical terminology
· Proficient with MS Office products
