If you have a college degree, you can qualify as a Navy Officer. You must:
- Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
- Be a graduate or current student of a four-year college or university (type of degree accepted varies by specialty)
- Be between the ages of 19 and 41
- Achieve a qualifying score on the Officer Aptitude Rating (OAR) exam
- Pass a prescreening for a top secret clearance
- Meet Navy physical standards
- Demonstrate character, leadership and technical aptitude
If you haven’t received your college degree, you can qualify as an enlisted technician. You must:
- Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
- Be a high school graduate or have a GED or equivalent
- Be between the ages of 17 and 34
- Pass a prescreening for a top secret clearance
- Meet Navy physical standards
- Demonstrate character, determination and technical aptitude
