Hardee's began its history in 1961 with a new restaurant concept which was the vision of Wilber Hardee. This successful concept became the passion of two businessmen. Leonard Rawles and Jim Gardner turned this dream into one of the most recognized fast casual dining concepts in the world today.

Over the past 43 years, Hardee's grew to almost 2300 restaurants in 41 states and 14 foreign countries. Hardee's purchased the concepts of Sandy's out of Kewanee, Illinois, Burger Chef Systems from Indianapolis, Indiana and Roy Rogers from the Marriott Corporation in 1990.

In July 1997, came the purchase of Hardee's into the CKE restaurant umbrella located in Carpenteria, California. This well received merger has brought significant changes to our cooking process by the re-introduction of charbroiling, remodeling many locations, and the introduction of the recognized Star Logo. Our Company offices on the West Coast provide Corporate support to the restaurants(accounts payable, IT, payroll, fleet administration, etc.).

In 1999, Hardee's purchased one of its largest franchises, Advantica, bringing many new units and personnel into the Hardee's family.

In 2001 under The Dynamics of Great New Leadership, and following the natural disaster of Hurricane Floyd, Hardee's made some significant changes to its structure by bringing the division office out of North Carolina and into St.Louis, Missouri. Employees from our Rocky Mount, North Carolina office as well as from locations throughout the Midwest and Southeast came to St.Louis to carry on the development and growth of our brand.

With the introduction of some great new signature products like the Six Dollar Burger in 2002, Hardee's continues to build the ingredients that are contributing to our success in providing top quality products in a clean environment for our guests. Under the CKE family, Hardee's growth continues as a leading force in fast casual dining in this dynamic company.

SHIFT LEADER



Responsibilities include:



  • Exceed customer expectations of service, food quality, and cleanliness.
  • Daily operation of the restaurant including hiring, training, disciplining employees
  • Profitability of restaurant
  • Involvement in the community
  • Must follow all standards set up by Hardee's Food Systems, Inc., Ponder Enterprises, Inc., as well as local & state government.

Job Requirements

  • Willing to work flexible days/shifts (45-50 hours per week)
  • High School graduate (college degree preferred)
  • 1 year of experience at the shift leader position.  Can complete up to 6 week training program at separate location
  • Exceptional planning skills
  • Exceptional troubleshooting skills
  • Live within 30 miles of resturant location
  • Able to manage up to 30 employees
  • Can stand for up to 6 hours at a time
  • Able to lift 35 pounds
