Description

The Retail Relationship Manager Assistant (RMA) provides the Retail Relationship Manager (RM) support in originating mortgage loans.  Although the job may vary between locations, generally the position requires meeting and interviewing of applicants, obtains relevant financial information and communicates with realtors and applicants concerning the status of mortgage loan closings.

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Meet with applicants to complete necessary documents for loan approval.
  • Coordinates mortgage application meetings between retail RM’s and mortgage applicants.
  • Answers inquiries from prospective applicants, real estate agents and brokers constantly promoting excellent customer service.
  • Updates mortgage applicant, real estate agents and brokers about status of mortgage approval process.
  • Promotes sales of financial products and services each qualified customer.
  • Establishes and/or maintains customer database files.
  • Travel to local, regional and headquarter locations as necessary.
  • Completes such other activities as required to meet obligations of position.
Requirements
  • Proficient understanding of mortgage banking concepts.
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Presents a positive image for Metlife Home Loans
  • Proficient use of a personal computer to retrieve and send email, draft documents, use mortgage software and complete spreadsheets as necessary.
  • Proficient use of a multi-line telephone system.
  • Traditional office environment.  TMO mortgage software experience preferred.
  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent relative experience.
