Summary of duties and responsibilities:
The person in this position works closely with a number of assigned accounts to help develop accurate sales plans. They will track each account’s business trends and point of sale data and update the individual sales plans as necessary. This information is constantly communicated to Planning Orders and Demand Planning to increase the accuracy of Carhartt’s overall corporate plan.
Primary duties and responsibilities:
Develop the seasonal assortment plan using various inputs (point of sale, regional/channel analysis of product performance, inventory levels, model stocks, store openings/closings, marketing programs both internal and external) in conjunction with the Sales Rep.
Project lead for the monitoring, generation, and implementation of account store models, replenishment, assortment plans and performance trends to maximize Carhartt sales
Focus on account plans to ensure they meet Carhartt and the individual account’s goals for profitability, margin, inventory turns, sell through, etc…
Develop and maintain strong relationships with Carhartt Sales Representatives, Carhartt Marketing Managers, and assigned Account Representatives’ (Divisionals, Buyers, Planners, and Inventory Control/Replenishment Analysts)
Explore growth opportunities regionally and at the account level-communicate opportunities to Regional Business Managers and Sales Representatives
Establish reporting to track and measure sales to understand progress
Hold monthly business review meetings with account or more often if business dictates
Requirements
Education:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years in retail planning and/or buying

Experience with SAP or other retail inventory management/replenishment systems a plus
Strong computer skills which may include but not limited to AS400 experience, Access, Excel, Word, COGNOS and Edifice.

Working conditions:
Normal office environment; some travel may be required (approximately 20-30%).
