11/21 STILL OPEN: Process Engineer - Oil & Gas - Saudi Arabia

My client, an independent non-profit applied research and engineering contractor, needs an Industrial Process Engineer, with in-depth, expert knowledge about international fire and safety standards for the oil and gas industry.

This position will last at least a year, and will be located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This position will require travel throughout Saudi Arabia. Very competitive salary, housing and cost of living adjustments, plus bonus and travel expenses provided. The is an employee position with a US based company.

The U.S. Department of Energy is sponsoring the activity under agreement with the Saudi Arabia Ministry of Interior. To qualify, you must be a US citizen.

• Expert Industrial, Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical and/or Petroleum Engineer. Must understand Process Safety in the oil and gas industry.
• 10-20 years experience with Oil & Gas industry Safety and Security Standards
• Experience with Saudi Arabia's Oil & Gas infrastructure is strongly preferred.
• Must have experience reviewing petroleum facility design charts and blue prints. Must have experience in  reviewing and evaluating designs for safety considerations and compliance with international safety and security standards
• Will make refinery site visits. Must have proven ability to review oil and gas flow, pipeflow and refinery flow rates.
• Must be familiar with international security standards.
• Must be a US citizen.

These positions require your ability to commit to at least a year’s work in Saudi Arabia. There may be an option to extend the work period for a second year. You must be able to be cleared by the US Department of Energy for access to sensitive information.
