Description

A Registered Nurse Consultant (RNC) coordinates the health and safety needs for four individuals in a community group home setting. The RNC oversees medication administration, monitors medication effects on individuals, communicates medical needs to the management team, and provides staff members knowledge and training in medication administration procedures. The RNC conducts pass and pour tests for staff members in accordance with CT DDS procedures and provides nursing direction as needed via phone during business hours (8am-5pm) and scheduled hours at the home (TBD by RNC and supervisor, 10 to 12 hours per week). NO WEEKEND OR HOLIDAY HOURS required.

Requirements Strong interpersonal skills, communication skills and experience in the Developmental Disabilities field preferred. Knowledge of CT DDS regulations. Current CT RN License required, CPR preferred
