Web Developer

Description Vykin Corporation is currently looking for an experienced TS/SCI cleared Web Developer to join our team in the Washington, DC area. We are a small defense contracting company that is veteran owned servicing the US Department of Defense. The successful applicant shall develop and maintain websites for web-based issue-oriented reporting initiatives of the government customer. In performing these tasks, the contractor shall interface and coordinate with the internal corporate web services office of the government agency to obtain the necessary procedures for the development and maintenance of all department websites. Taskings for the successful applicant shall also include, but not be limited to the following:
• Development of interactive database driven websites of intelligence issues
• Maintenance of the department's websites
• Provide technical support for the department at the agency web development forums
• Provide information supporting the department's Communities of Practice

Requirements - Expertise with Adobe Flash and Director.
- Expertise with industry standard graphic tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Fireworks for graphic creation and manipulation.
- Expertise with video and audio editing software such as Adobe Premiere and Adobe Flash Video Encoder.
- Ability to incorporate audio, video, graphics, and textual data to create highly advanced presentations.
- Ability to use advanced coding and compression schemes for delivery over intranet.
- Ability to write professional storyboards and scripts for multimedia presentations.
- Ability to create interactive applications utilizing imagery, maps, text, video, and graphics.
- Ability to write advanced code such as ActionScript to create easy-to-use user environments.
- Ability to incorporate external data sets such as XML and Access files.
- Experience with video capturing, editing, and creation.
- Experience with audio recording for voice-overs.
- Bachelor's degree in IT field or equivalent work experience required
- Three or more years of experience in web development
- Strong customer-service orientation
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail.
- Effective interpersonal skills and relationship-building skills.
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Self motivated and directed, with the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
- Certifications: ColdFusion or Flex Certification highly desirable.
- TS/SCI must be current and active.
- Candidate must be able to start immediatly.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
The work is typically performed in an office environment, which requires normal safety precautions; work may require some physical effort in the handling of light materials, boxes or equipment. The work location is a government facility in Washington, DC supporting a DoD customer. The successful applicant will be working for and reporting directly to the prime contractor or the DoD customer as appropriate.
