Job Description

Job Scope:
Manage the on-site medical center for our pulp and paper mill, which supports 1,000+ employees amongst the corporate office and manufacturing operations.


Responsibilities include: 

·         Managing the medical center,

·         Administration of the hearing our conservation program

·         On-site drug testing

·         Manufacturing and office ergonomics

·         Triage nursing

·         Assessing and managing injuries and illnesses

·         Development and administration of health and wellness programs

·         Investigating workplace injuries to prevent future incidents

·         Management of the OSHA log book and determination of recordable incidents

·         Coordination of physicals for new hires and return to work employees

·         Working closely with FMLA and Worker’s Compensation Administration

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

·         Registered Nurse’s license for the state of Washington is required

·         Experience working as a Occupational Health Nurse

·         Experience with triage nursing, hearing conservation, health and wellness programs,   
          ergonomics, and on-site drug testing. 

·         Certification in: CAOHC, pulmonary function and basic life support

·         Experience with OSHA record keeping and investigating incidents to determine
          recordability.

·         Experience working with FMLA and Worker’s Compensation 

·         Active involvement with safety committees
