Job Description:

Our client is currently seeking an experienced Technical Process Writer/Editor. The Writer/Editor will work with the Account Management and Technology teams on all aspects of process documentation for governmental submission.

Tasks include:

  • Assist team with writing effective technical process documents, particularly those involving information management, IT, and health information systems
  • Interview knowledge experts and generate written process documents from the information obtained through the interview process and from related technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with our Account Management team to develop response format and structure appropriate for submission to a governmental client
  • Prepare draft documents for review processes and provides review materials
  • Prepare final documents for delivery to client
  • Edit and re-write for understanding, grammar and readability as one voice.
  • Ensure that the response and its formats, font size, page count etc. are consistent with the Client’s requirements
  • Create documents using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Adobe Acrobat
Requirements

Required Skills:

  • Experience writing successful responses to Federal and/or State Government requests-for-proposals (RFPs), particularly those involving Information Technology
  • Superior writing, proofreading, editing, desktop publishing, and organizational skills, with excellent attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with senior staff
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to accomplish tasks proactively and autonomously
  • Desire to work in a supportive team environment, and ability to work with multiple subject experts, and managers concurrently to develop large documents under tight deadlines
  • Ability to associate concepts from different functional areas
  • Samples of pertinent writings will be required as part of the interview


Desired (not required) Skills:

  • Knowledge of web-page design and web-site development.
  • Familiarity with developing online and web-based documentation


Education/Certifications: Bachelor's degree in a technical or writing field or equivalent experience
