FOG INSPECTOR(SENIOR MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN)

The Town of Smithfield is seeking a qualified individual for our full-time FOG (Fats, Oils and Grease) Inspector/Senior Maintenance Technician position within the Department of Public Works.  Salary range $30,949 to $47,971 DOQ plus excellent benefits.  Primary duties include Food Service Establishment compliance monitoring and inspections, coordination and outreach of educational activities as required by Regional Sanitary Sewer Consent Order. Other duties will include administration/inspections of Backflow Prevention Program and a wide range of maintenance and repair duties for water and sewer systems.

Candidates must have excellent communication and organization skills, possess a high school diploma or GED, supplemented by three to five years previous experience or training that includes maintenance and repair work; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
