Description

Our client owns, manages, develops, and markets upscale senior living communities from coast to coast. The company has experienced rapid growth and emerged as a national leader in senior living. They continue to grow by creating and managing retirement communities that enhance the lifestyles and address the needs of older adults. Their portfolio includes distinctive rental senior living communities and continuing care retirement communities (CCRCs). The success of each community is attributable to their experienced, innovative leadership at both the national and community levels. Their strategic growth plan is focused on opportunities to develop high-end, campus-style CCRCs in desirable locations. Effective operations and marketing systems, a high level of resident satisfaction, and the recruitment and promotion of some of the industry's best talent all help to support the company's growth. They now offer an opportunity to be part of their sales team in a key leadership role. The Regional Vice President of Sales will be based in Chicago, IL and will report directly to the Senior VP of Sales and Marketing. This position provides strategic sales leadership and is responsible for delivering budgeted revenue generation for the company in CCRC operating communities through occupancy and rate management, as well as full responsibility for new development project sales.

Regional Vice President of Sales responsibilities

Establish, implement and consistently monitor high quality sales standards that drive sales and revenue results in all operating and new development communities. Develop and implement disciplined analysis standards and metrics to monitor and ensure the outcome of budgeted sales and revenue performance for all communities and new developments. Develop and effectively roll-out sales strategies and training to motivate corporate and community teams and create consistent performance. Manage the annual and quarterly rate review process for all operating communities. Work with Assistant Vice President of Marketing and all Sales and Marketing personnel to create annual marketing strategies that support the revenue and occupancy plan for each operating community and the sales plan of each new development. Work with the Assistant Vice President of Research and Strategy to develop pricing strategies that maximize the revenue potential of each operating community and competitive pricing for new developments. Collaborate with Vice President of Operations to assess community revenue, sales and occupancy performance and align on necessary actions to achieve budget goals. Collaborate with the Vice President of Operations to ensure that each community is focused on the achievement of sales and revenue goals through the utilization of sales tools and training, pricing and concessions and marketing plan goals and tactics. Support the hiring and training of highly motivated and competent sales executives at a corporate and community level.Lead, manage, evaluate and develop a team of Sales professionals in the corporate office and the communities.

Requirements

Regional Vice President of Sales requirements:

Seasoned professional with demonstrated success in implementing change and coaching and motivating sales teams to consistently achieve high performance results. This position requires vision, leadership, financial acumen combined with outstanding interpersonal, teambuilding and communication skills. Must possess the ability to analyze and resolve issues strategically and functionally. 15 years sales management experience in consumer related industries. For example Sales Leadership in Long Term Care, Life Insurance products and/or Senior market products. 5 years multi-site and multi-state experience on a national or regional level. Strong overall business experience with proven background in developing and managing sales plans and budgets, tracking and analyzing results and building strong sales teams. Experience in developing, implementing and evaluating strategic marketing plans and budgets. Strong customer orientation with a commitment to company values. Excellent analytical, problem solving, matrix management, organization, planning and communication skills. College degree required; MBA preferred. Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and CRM systems.
