Entry-level Software Developer

Passport Health Communications, Inc., a nationally recognized pioneer developing innovative solutions for the healthcare industry and one of Healthcare Informatics Top 100 Healthcare Companies, is seeking a Software Developer.

The IntelliSource team within the Patient Access Verification (PAV) Business unit is looking for an entry level developer to join their growing team.  Development work on this team will involve configuring new clients to use Passport applications, building internal tools to support/configure the applications and analyze/evaluate bugs and determine proper steps for resolution.

The ideal candidate for this position has the ability to own projects from design to release and can take customer interactions and turn those into actionable work items.

Job Duties:

• Research, analyze, and design new and existing software products.
• Implement all areas/phases of product development in a Microsoft environment.
• Provide ongoing support of Passport’s software products.

• Communicate with internal/external customers during analysis and development phase
• Work within existing application architecture to deliver solutions
• Own development projects and be capable of taking them from design to general availability.
• Other Duties as Required.

• 0-3 years of .NET software development using VB.NET/C# and Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Math, or other related subject.

• Knowledge of web development using HTML, JavaScript, XML, IIS, ASP.NET
• Knowledge of healthcare standard formats including X12 transactions and HL7 messages

• Full software development life cycle experience desired.
• Preference will be given to working experience in the financial and administrative areas of the healthcare industry.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

• Good written and verbal communications required.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Ability to manage changing priorities
