Job Description 

This position is responsible for developing and maintaining reports and extracts.  The data source includes membership, claims, provider, and a variety of other data. This position would involve working closely with other developers and business analysts.   You would be responsible for analyzing business requirements, working with support staff to understand them, creating technical specifications, developing new processes, maintaining existing processes and performing testing.

 

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Working with internal customers and Business Analysts to determine data and reporting needs.
  • Analyzing, translating, and defining business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Designing, developing, testing, and implementing code for the full development lifecycle.
  • Utilizing query languages and analytic toolsets with an emphasis on SQL, PL/SQL, and BusinessObjects.
  • Managing own projects and providing leadership to other developers.

 

 

 


Job Requirements 

**Candidates must be local to the work site in Moline, Ill.

Qualifications:

·  5+ years experience in writing Oracle SQL and PL/SQL code.

·  TOAD and Unix is a plus.

·  Healthcare industry knowledge is preferred.

·  Working knowledge of relational databases, database structures and design, data management, and data warehousing.

·  Experience using Business Intelligence tools (like BusinessObjects) is a plus.

·  Assesses and interprets customer needs and requirements.

·  Identifies solutions to non-standard requests and problems.

·  Solves moderately complex problems and/or conducts moderately complex analyses.

·  Excellent communication, time management, problem solving, organizational, and analytical skills.

·  Self-starter, work with minimal guidance and ability to manage simultaneous projects to completion.

· Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.
