We are seeking a Bilingual Japanese/English Support Technician to work in our corporate office located in Southfield, MI.

This position will provide eClinical application and hardware support in Japanese and English via phone and email to end users.  Candidate must be proficient in MS Office, Internet Explorer and possess above average oral/ written communication and active listening skills. Position requires the ability to be fluent in reading, speaking, and writing in both Japanese and English. The successful candidate must be able to work an 8 hour shift between the hours of 8 PM to 6:30 AM EST, Sunday – Thursday to support Japan’s business hours.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Analyse calls and e-mails sent by customers
  • Examine all problems; evaluate complexity, impact and priority
  • Give required support efficiently, effectively and in accordance with priority and impact
  • Escalate problems according to procedures
  • Ensure follow-up of all issues until end user’s confirmation of problem resolution
  • Document all troubleshooting steps in the ticketing system appropriately
  • Ability to work off-hours to support Japanese business day


Requirements
Candidate must be proficient in MS Office, Internet Explorer and possess above average oral/ written communication and active listening skills. Must be able to effectively troubleshoot technical issues.

Position requires the ability to be fluent in reading, speaking, and writing in both Japanese and English. The successful candidate must be able to work an 8 hour shift between the hours of 8 PM to 6:30 AM EST, Sunday – Thursday to support Japan’s business hours.

Candidate will be required to understand the needs, requests, problems and expectation of the customers, build effective, co-operative relationships with colleagues respond positively to requests from internal and external customers and value the expertise of their colleagues.
