Job Description 

 

 Occupational Therapist: Part-time (Pay per Visit)
COTA/Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant: Part-time (Pay per Visit)

(Schedule averages less than 16 vists per week)

The Occupational Therapist contracted through the Organization is responsible for the implementation of standards of care for occupational therapy services and for adherence to all conditions outlined in the Service Agreement.
 

The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant provides occupational therapy services under the direction of the Occupational Therapist and according to the physician's plan of care.

 

  

 


Job Requirements 

   

Position Qualifications-Occupational Therapist: 
 

  1. Follow all privacy policies of CareSouth and maintain the confidentiality of protected healthcare information (PHI). 
  2. Graduate of an occupational therapy curriculum accredit­ed jointly by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association and the American Occupational Therapy Association. 
  3. Registered with the National Registration Examination of the American Occupational Therapy Association. 
  4. Two years of clinical experience as an Occupational Therapist. 
  5. Demonstrates good verbal and written communication, and organization skills. 
  6. Possess and maintains current CPR Certification. 


Position Qualifications-COTA/Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant:

  1. Graduate of an occupational therapy assistant curriculum accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association. 

  2. Certified with the National Certification Examination of the American Occupational Therapy Association. 

  3. Licensed by the State Board of Healing Arts in accordance with State licensure laws. 

  4. A minimum of one year of clinical experience as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant. 

  5. Demonstrates good verbal and written communication, and organization skills. 

  6. Possesses and maintains current CPR certification.

 

 

Continuing Education Requirements:  Organization personnel are expected to participate in appropriate continuing education as may be requested and/or required by their immediate supervisor.  In addition, organization personnel are expected to accept personal responsibility for other educational activities to enhance job related skills and abilities.  All personnel must attend mandatory educational programs.
