At BenefitMall, we view ourselves as an extension of each Broker's support team. We provide Brokers with local market expertise, product price quotes, client proposals, enrollment support and ongoing client services.
Our Chicago office is seeking a Manager New Business that will supervise and oversee the New Business Department to improve implementation, cost effectiveness, quality assurance and to improve new business and customer satisfaction.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
·Resolves issues that arise with agents, groups and carriers
Coordinates the departments’ work flow with that of other departments to assure timely and accurate processing.
· Monitors and enhances the performance of staff in the areas of productivity, customer satisfaction, employee satisfaction, and employee development.
·Enhances the goal of being Customer Centric by focusing staff on improving customer satisfaction, communication skills, and technical ability.
·Leads, schedules, coordinates, and participates in daily work, meetings, and projects relevant to the team and department, and addresses daily issues that affect the team.
·Ensure continual improvement of the department’s efficiency and quality, supported by detailed reports and analysis.
·Develops and enhances cooperative interdepartmental relations and communications with other management teams and throughout the Company.
·Create and maintain policies and procedures document for department policies and procedures.
·Performs management responsibilities in accordance with company policies, including:
Ø Interviews, selects, trains, coaches, and counsels direct reports.
Ø Supervise and provide guidance and direction to Supervisors and staff members, through training, setting expectations, and regularly reviewing individual and department performance both formally and informally.
Ø Conducts employee performance evaluations.
Ø Maintains high level of open communication and morale within the team and department.
·Develop, implement and maintain metrics to assess productivity of department, intra-departmental teams, and individuals.
Requirements
· A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and a minimum of five (5) years management experience.
· Proven leadership capability, including the ability to manage, develop, and motivate a team.
· Demonstrated leadership skills.
· A good understanding of the insurance business and demonstrated understanding of a Customer Centric environment.
· Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook Exchange; proficient in Internet Explorer.
· Communicate effectively with internal and external personnel, both verbally and in writing.
· Analyze and resolve difficult and sensitive administrative problems.
· Provide leadership and promote cooperation in a team environment.
· Provide positive customer service.
· Manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
