DESCRIPTION:
Shelter is seeking an experienced Building Material Inside Salesperson for the Tulsa, OK local market; in Tulsa, Shelter operates as RSM Supply a local leader in the industry. Experience with roofing or other building materials is highly preferred. The candidate will be a self-starter who is able to work independently.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Responsible to the Branch Manager, this position services area choice contractors either on the phone or at the sales counter. Successful candidate must be a self-motivated team player with strong communication skills and a strong commitment to customer service requirements. Will coordinate closely with our Outside Sales force and with drivers and warehouse personnel to meet our customers’ needs in a timely and efficient manner. Prior experience selling roofing and other building materials to contractors is required.
Successful candidate will have demonstrated experience and success:
Selling building materials to a choice customer base.
Assisting walk-in customers with building product purchasing needs
Handling incoming calls from area customers
Developing new sales opportunities through calls to potential new customers over the telephone.
Entering sales orders and cash transactions into company software
Requirements
Skills Required:
- Building material sales and customer service experience.
- Computer operation and data input including use of MS Office, Internet and Outlook programs
- Sense of personal responsibility – self-starter
- Valid state issued driver’s license.
- You must be legally entitled to work in the United States
- You must be able to pass a company required drug test and background check.
- You must be dependable and have a good prior work record.
- You must be a high school graduate or have a GED. College is a plus.
