Description

Provide design solutions for high profile retail stores by processing and managing complex business and executive priorities and by applying relevant design guidelines and standards.  Deliver comprehensive schematic design package to client in a timely manner and provide design support through the completion of projects.

  • Minimum five (5) years experience in architectural interior design with high-end clientele
  • Prepare floor plans and storefront elevations ensuring conformance to design guidelines and brand strategy
  • Prepare sketches, perspective views, elevations and details as necessary in support of your design solution to facilitate presentation
  • Prepare designs at weekly design review meetings and/to senior leadership team and rationalize your design decisions in a convincing manner
  • Review and redline design development and construction drawings from client.
  • Ensure design intent is upheld and ensure all details are coordinated to client design standards.
  • Work on new design development assessments either by leading or participating as a team member and mange initiative rollouts as needed.
  • Apply a broad understanding of strategic business goals, merchandising strategy and how the built environment impacts the business.
  • Apply a broad understanding of the concept design development process and manage initial concept through to completion.
  • Actively propose new ideas, materials and details to support the growth of the brand.
  • Apply a broad understanding of a direct link between design choices and build-out costs and maintain accountability.
Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • Possess strong verbal, written and visual communication skills with all levels of employees, management and outside parties.
  • Previous experience in speaking to groups.  
  • 5-7 years experience in retail design in a corporate environment or in a design consultancy firm.
  • AutoCAD proficient and demonstrated space planning skills.
  • Demonstrate creative abilities and applied problem-solving skills.
  • Strong abilities to work in a team setting and achieve results through collaboration and sharing 
  • Proven ability to meet all project deadlines in an environment of change and shifting priorities
  • Proven ability to self-manage and demonstrate high level of professional maturity
  • Bachelor of Science in Architecture or Interior Design from an accredited institution
