Description

US Headquarters located in Charlotte has an immediate need to add an experienced Commercial Collector to their accounting department.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Work active problem accounts in an attempt to mitigate loss through some type of workout or settlement agreement, taking legal action when necessary (Loss Mitigation)
  • Work accounts that have already been charged-off, in an attempt to collect on the remaining deficiency balance (Recovery).
  • Coordinate the collection effort for multiple accounts
  • Review payment history and initiate collection resolution with commercial customers
  • Serve as primary contact person for 3rd party collection agencies
  • Communicate with management regarding account status
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service skills on a daily basis
  • Other duties as assigned by Controller

 

Requirements
  • Minimum of an Associate’s degree in Accounting or Business
  • 5+ years experience with commercial collections
  • Prior experience in filing Complaints for Judgment and Writs for Possession against debtors
  • Experience in analyzing credit bureaus and conducting asset searches
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and the Internet.
  • Experience with credit analysis and review
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
