company overview
DISH Network Corporation, a Fortune 250 company with more than 25,000 employees worldwide, provides outstanding entertainment to millions of customers through our DISH Network consumer brand.
When DISH Network was formed in 1980, it was impossible to find people with years of experience in satellite TV. Instead, we looked for employees who could offer energy, need for achievement, and intelligence.
Years later, we follow the same philosophy, hiring people who are compelled by a sense of adventure, take pride in their work, and strive to win. This has created a dynamic work environment based on innovation, educated risks, constant learning, drive and passion.
Our distinctive work environment and vertical integration offers interested candidates the chance to grow their career and develop themselves in virtually limitless ways.
Division Description
DISH Network Service, L.L.C. is the installation and service division for DISH Network. We drive technology and believe that everything we do must begin and end with the customer experience. We provide training and education that ensures one call, one trip resolution. We develop and motivate our team by ensuring opportunity through ongoing formal career training and development and provide exceptional promotional opportunities. Our field service technicians work hard in all kinds of weather to provide installation of equipment and teach our customers how to use their state-of-the-art DISH satellite TV system. Our technicians are supported by many other DNS employees including dispatchers, trainers, quality assurance specialists, inventory specialists and operational analysts and managers.
Vision
To be a strong competitor for any project of significance in our core markets anywhere in the world.

For 2006, CH2M HILL has again been named one of America's top employers by Fortune magazine. This is the second time in the past three years that the firm has appeared on this annual list.
CH2M HILL was selected, in part, due to its competitive compensation and benefits packages, open and accessible communications practices, employee-ownership culture, learning and development opportunities, and work-life balance programs.
Fortune's annual ranking of the "100 Best Companies to Work For" is determined through an extensive nomination and application process. To pick the 100 Best Companies to Work For, Fortune magazine relies on two things: evaluation of the policies and culture of each company, and the opinions of the company's own employees. The latter receives more weight, as two-thirds of the score is based on how randomly selected employees respond to the Great Places to Work Trust Index, a survey measuring the quality of the workplace culture.
The survey is sent to a minimum of 350 randomly selected employees from each company and asks about things such as attitudes toward management, job satisfaction, and camaraderie. The remaining one-third of the score comes from an evaluation of each company's demographic makeup, pay and benefits programs, and other areas. Each company is scored in four areas: credibility (communication to employees), respect (opportunities and benefits), fairness (compensation, diversity), and pride/camaraderie (philanthropy, celebrations).
To be considered for the award, a company must be at least seven years old with more than 1,000 U.S. employees.
Rocky Flats Closure
Colorado
The Kaiser-Hill Company, a partnership between CH2M HILL and Kaiser Group Holdings, has successfully cleaned up and closed Rocky Flats, culminating a 10-year effort to complete the largest, most complex environmental cleanup project in United States history. Rocky Flats, which produced plutonium and enriched uranium "triggers" for nuclear weapons from 1952 until 1989, is the first large nuclear weapons facility to be decommissioned and closed anywhere in the world. The company's work converts an environmental liability into a community asset—a national wildlife refuge.
The Rocky Flats Closure Project was an enormous undertaking. Every nuclear weapon in the current United States arsenal contains triggers produced at Rocky Flats, and production activities left a legacy of heavily contaminated buildings, soil, and groundwater. To complete its mission, Kaiser-Hill removed more than 21 tons of weapons-useable nuclear materials, decontaminated and demolished 800 structures, stabilized and packaged 100 tons of high-content plutonium residue, performed environmental cleanup actions at 130 sites, and safely shipped more than 600,000 cubic meters of radioactive waste—enough to fill a string of railcars 90 miles long. The performance-based contract arrangement motivated industry-leading safety performance and technical innovation that helped shave more than 60 years and $30 billion off initial estimates of the cleanup.
Deep Tunnel Sewerage System
Singapore
Since 1997 and as part of a joint venture, CH2M HILL has been providing planning, preliminary and final design, tendering, construction management, and commissioning services to the Republic of Singapore's Public Utilities Board in support of their unique, large-scale wastewater deep-tunnel conveyance and treatment system program. The Deep Tunnel Sewerage System (DTSS) features approximately 30 miles of 10- to 20-foot-diameter conveyance tunnels installed under the island nation. The six tunnels, which were commissioned in August 2005, will collect wastewater and convey it to two state-of-the-art water reclamation plants on either end of the island. The Changi Water Reclamation Plant, on the eastern side of the island, is one of the world's largest "greenfield" wastewater reclamation facilities. The plant is scheduled for commissioning in 2008, with an initial average capacity of 800,000 cubic meters/day; it will be expanded in subsequent phases to provide a final capacity of 2.4 million cubic meters/day.
Jurong Island Water Reclamation Plant, the second treatment plant on the western end of the island nation, will also have an initial capacity of 800,000 cubic meters/day, and a final capacity of 1.8 million cubic meters/day. Both treatment plants will produce high-quality effluent that can be discharged or reclaimed to contribute to meeting Singapore's water needs, and biosolids will be anaerobically digested, dewatered, and dried for soil reclamation and other beneficial reuse. The entire $4.5 billion program, when completed after 2016, will help the Republic of Singapore meet its infrastructure needs for the next 40 years.

Tsunami Relief and Reconstruction
Sri Lanka
Within hours after the December 2004 tsunami devastated the countries in its wake, CH2M HILL and its employees were quick to respond to support the recovery and reconstruction of these affected nations. In Sri Lanka, our efforts were led by our Sri Lankan-born employees, who, with the knowledge and familiarity of their home country, were able to rapidly organize all the logistics for the investigation team to travel to most of the affected areas in Sri Lanka. CH2M HILL subsequently briefed the USAID Mission and other agencies in Sri Lanka on our findings and observations.
As a result, CH2M HILL, in close partnership with local, international, and regional public-private partnership companies and organizations, is now under contract with USAID to lead a major infrastructure redevelopment effort in parts of Sri Lanka. Project aspects include a participatory capacity development and vocational education program that will provide local residents with the training and expertise needed to ensure sustainability; work on a new 700-meter bridge over Arugam Bay to encourage the return of tourism; restoration and construction of three fishing harbors; the development of water treatment facilities; and coastal zone management efforts including replanting swamps and mangroves that provide protection against future tsunamis.
