QUALITY ASSURANCE ENGINEER - JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Summary
We are looking for an experienced software tester to join our QA team. The QA Engineer is responsible for testing and validating Dolbey software prior to production release. Responsibilities include developing test plans, validating test results against requirements, and documenting test results. Successful candidates will possess strong verbal and written communication skills along with strong troubleshooting and problem solving abilities. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional attention to detail combined with the ability to see the bigger picture.
QUALITY ASSURANCE ENGINEER - RESPONSIBILITIES
· Develop test plans
· Create test cases and test data
· Document test results
· Verify test results match expected results
· Ensure communication of test results and status to project stakeholders
· Assist with evaluation of automated test tools to support test efforts
· Identify high risk areas and focus test efforts accordingly
· Identify and recommend competitive features and software improvements
· Document software release information for other departments
· Troubleshoot issues found in the field

Requirements
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· Strong technical troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Experience performing both manual and automated testing
· Experience using SQL queries to retrieve and update data; experience running SQL traces
· Ability to work independently, but also work well in a team environment
· Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with limited supervision
· Sound independent judgment
· MS Windows and Office expertise
· Strong record of academic and professional success
Preferred:
· Experience testing speech recognition software and/or healthcare software
· Experience with Agile development methodologies
· Experience writing test plans and test cases from scratch using requirements
documents, functional specifications, use cases, and design documents
Minimum Requirements:
· Minimum 2 years’ software testing experience
· Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in related field
