Description
Specialty Surgical Instrumentation (SSI) was founded in 1976 as the first and largest specialty O.R. distributor in the United States. SSI provides highly specialized products to specialty surgeons.
Primary customers include: Neuro/Spine/Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, Oto/Rhino/Laryngology, Plastic/Reconstructive, Cardiovascular/Thoracic/Peripheral Vascular, Laparoscopic-General and Gynecology.

SSI is currently seeking a full time Regional Sales Manager for the Western Region of the US. This person will be responsible for the expert management of the medical instrument sales process in the western territory of the U.S. and specifically work with and without GPO contracts; work with IDN to increase SSI presence and maintain contract conditions.
Key Responsibilities
*Assist Dealer Representatives by calling on existing customers and building a rapport with new customers in order to expand client base, increase sales and brand awareness.
*Partner with and train Dealer Representatives on their line of products and take part in vendor fairs and other promotional events.
*Call on and develop relationships with Regional GPO and IDN groups.
*Assist in promoting SSI as the preferred distributor of medical instruments and support clients with education materials, guidelines and evidence needed to support field sales.
*Leverage new business with the full spectrum of product offerings.
Requirements
Qualifications
*Minimum 5 years sales experience in the medical device industry.
*Minimum 3 years sales experience in surgical products for OR.
*Minimum 3 years experience managing other Sales Representatives/Dealers.
*Must have strong entrepreneurial skills and excellent business judgement, problem-solving capabilities and general management strengths.
*Must have excellent communication skills and thorough understanding of terminology.
*Must be flexible and adapt to the changing needs of the company and have the ability to multi-task and prioritize workload in order to meet deadlines and goals.
*Must be able to travel up to 50%.
*Bachelor's degree in science field, business administration or equivalent combination of education/experience.
